These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of YouCourse (“we”, “our”, “us”) and our AI course generation services.

Acceptance of Terms

  • These Terms govern your use of YouCourse (youcourse.ai) and AI-generated course services. By using the service, you agree to them.
  • If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Accounts and Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You may sign in with email/password or via GitHub/Google through Supabase.

Use of the Service

  • You may use the service to create and access AI-generated course content for personal or organizational learning purposes.
  • Do not misuse the service: no illegal activity, infringement, harassment, or attempts to disrupt or reverse engineer the service.
  • AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions; you are responsible for evaluating and using it appropriately.

Payments and Subscriptions

  • Payments are processed by Stripe or Alipay. Prices and billing terms are shown at checkout.
  • Taxes and currency conversion fees may apply. You authorize the payment processor to charge applicable amounts.
  • Failed or disputed payments may result in suspension or termination of access.

Intellectual Property

  • We retain rights to the service, software, and branding. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the service.
  • You retain rights to your own input content. For operation of the service, you grant us a license to process your inputs and generated outputs.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your inputs do not infringe third-party rights.

User Content and Conduct

  • Do not upload or request content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or violates privacy or intellectual property rights.
  • We may remove or restrict content and accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Service Changes

  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice when feasible.
  • Features and models may change to improve performance or comply with policy or legal requirements.

Disclaimers

  • The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for certain uses.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid for the service in the past three months, or (b) USD $30.

Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
  • Courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or applicable law.
  • You may stop using the service at any time; some obligations (e.g., payment, indemnity) survive termination.

Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with an updated date. Continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
